Think about all of the voices that you hear every day. Do they sound different? Do they come from different people? Yes, the do. Just like people, author's use different voices in their writing to give different meaning. Andrea Davis Pinkney uses the voice of a narrator, or an outside perspective to tell the biography of Duke Ellington. You will be choosing a section from the book and rewriting it with a different voice. For example, you could use the voice of Duke Ellington to retell the section, you could use yourself, or even one of the band members. After you have rewritten your section with a new point of view, you will record your new section using iMovie.
